By using the ToonGen website or apps (together, the "Service"), operated by Somasundaram M ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to create orders or purchases on the Service.
ToonGen creates personalized content starring a child whose photos you upload: (a) personalized printed storybooks delivered to your address; (b) short animated story videos; and (c) a secondary photo-to-cartoon art feature ("anime filters"). Content is generated with the assistance of artificial-intelligence models from the photos and details you provide.
You must only upload photos of a child if you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or have the explicit consent of the child's parent or legal guardian. You must have the rights to any photo you upload.
a. Storybook orders are one-time purchases. Current base prices are ₹1,499 (paperback) and ₹1,999 (hardcover) for a 30-page personalized book, with optional paid add-ons (such as an extra copy, digital PDF, personal dedication, story video, or adding a gift-giver as a character) shown at checkout. Prices, formats, and add-ons may change; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
b. Before you pay, you can preview the first pages of your book free of charge and request a limited number of redraws of preview pages. After payment, the full book is generated and you are asked to approve it before it is printed. Because you review and approve the book before printing, and because each book is personalized and made to order, printed books cannot be returned or exchanged once approved, except as described below.
c. If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially different from the approved preview, contact us within 7 days of delivery at somasundaram.mahesh@gmail.com with photos of the issue, and we will reprint or refund the affected order.
d. Payments for storybook orders are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or banking details. Delivery is available to addresses within India; delivery times are estimates and may vary.
a. The Service includes free daily allowances (for example, a limited number of free story videos, book previews, and cartoon-art creations per day). We may adjust these allowances to keep the Service sustainable.
b. Optional premium subscriptions in our mobile apps are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (processed via RevenueCat) under the pricing shown in the app at the time of purchase. Subscription management, renewal, and cancellation are handled through your app store account. Fair-usage limits may apply to premium features to prevent abuse.
c. We reserve the right to change pricing, tiers, or benefits. Changes will be communicated through the Service and will not affect orders already paid for.
Storybook illustrations, character art, and videos are generated by AI models (including Google's Gemini models). Results vary: generated art is an artistic likeness, not a photograph, and we do not guarantee any particular degree of resemblance. The preview and approval steps exist so you can decide whether you are happy before you pay or print. We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or unavailability of the underlying AI services. Generated content may unintentionally resemble existing artistic styles; any such similarity is coincidental, and generated content is not endorsed by or affiliated with any studio or rights holder. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with applicable law.
You may not upload photos of any person without the right to do so, upload unlawful or harmful content, attempt to generate abusive or sexualized content involving minors (we apply safety filters and will refuse and may report such attempts), interfere with the Service, or resell generated content generated from another person's likeness without their consent.
a. The Service, including its software, design, story text, and templates, is the property of Somasundaram M and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.
b. You retain rights in the photos you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process those photos solely to provide the Service (creating your character, book, video, or art).
c. Once you have paid for a personalized book or video, you may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes freely.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data — including how uploaded photos are automatically deleted from our servers.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service. Paid orders in progress at the time of a termination not caused by your breach will be fulfilled or refunded.
a. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
b. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
